TUV Mask Slips Again!The statement by prominent TUV member that the PSNI should be equated with the Nazi Gestapo and the murder of six million Jews is disgraceful. The TUV’s comparison of our police with Nazi's is reminiscent of the claim made by the Republic’s President when she compared Protestants to Nazis.
However, it gives an insight into the brooding hatred that members of the TUV appear to have. The TUV mask has slipped over the past few weeks. Only weeks ago another leading member was campaigning for the early release of a mass murderer because he was a "family friend".
Rather than face-saving statements from Jim Allister we need to see proper disciplinary action. If Jim’s moralistic claims are to have any credibility he must condemn both these actions and expel those people from his grouping.
The fact is the PSNI are having to defend themselves and this country from murderous attacks by dissident republicans. It is sad that the only response from one political organisation is to verbally abuse the police as "Gestapo". People who have never had to stand in the line, or face a threat can make such charges but they would be the first to canter to the police for help if they were victims of crime.”
